Fitting happens in your browser. If you allow it, Claude looks at a small copy of each photo (or a few frames of each video) to find faces, so heads never get trimmed.

Videos are made on your computer, so keep this tab open. A 30-second clip takes about a minute. Up to 5 minutes long.

How it decides

People are never visibly reshaped. Faces and bodies stretch 3% at most, which nobody can see.
Trim edges that don't matter. Up to 30% off the top and bottom (or the sides), from wherever least is going on. Never through a head.
Stretch only plain areas. Sky, walls and floor can widen. Anything detailed stays put.
Soften the last few percent. A blurred continuation of the photo's own edge, or the border colour on artwork.
Otherwise, Spotlight. Portraits, squares and very wide ads are shown whole on a blurred copy of themselves.
Video gets a trim or Spotlight only. One fixed trim for the whole clip, chosen from several frames. No stretched areas or blended edges, because things moving through them would change shape. Sound is kept.
